Welcome to God’s Heart through Your Art..
We are on a new journey in Continue to Create. Previous posts written to encourage you on your creativity and who God has called you to be ( for example The World Needs You and What You Create! and I’m A Mess. Vulnerable Honesty Opens Pathways. are still available. Are you ready to see new arenas to worship in your creativity now that we are on the other side of the pandemic? With doors wide open and no masks, for protection or barriers, is everything back to “normal”?
Personally, first coming back to social interaction was not something I was looking forward to. I was hesitant to return to “people” and possibly the “same-old-same-old”. Isolation and closed doors slowed me down but opened a unique space for quiet. In that quiet came the wonderful freedom for silence and listening. God’s Heart for my art and writing emerged. I wanted to keep that sacred.
It was also during the unknown times of isolation that difficult questions opened up. Questions dealing with security? What anchor was held unto when the arena of normalcy became smaller and smaller? How can my art be seen, (can I be seen) if I cannot be seen?
Was it possible that God’s calling to find a deeper security in Him was finally able to rise above the clatter?
These next articles will be devotions and posts taking you to quiet, contemplative spaces to hear God’s Heart. This is a deeper phase of Continue to Create as you listen and respond to God’s Heart through Your Art. That is the gift I received from my ALONE time. God wants to share His Heart with His creatives to express through their art, but we need to be still, be willing to receive.
God is asking us to create from a space created when He was the only ONE to hold unto.
In this next path of Continue to Create, take God’s hand and we will engage in a new adventure.
Receive, Reflect, then Respond to
