PURE LOVE

Jesus bloody body hanging on the cross as the battle for the universe takes place.

Jesus intense love for you, for me explodes, reclaiming our souls.

Thorns pierce the soft tissue of His brow. Arms that once gently held rejected, unloved lepers and prostitutes are now stretched to the edges of rough boards. Hands that broke manna in the upper room are now penetrated with nails to hold His body upon this cross.   Such horror and torture. WHY?

PURE LOVE!

Jesus PURE  LOVE shatters  the wall holding the condemned prisoners. His Righteous Love causes everyone who humbles themselves and looks to the cross to be made whole. The cleansing blood poured from His body is untainted.  The eternal spotlessness of this Love from beginning to end qualifies the sacrifice demanded by God.

Could another sacrifice meet the requirement? God demanded purity because He is Almighty God, Righteous and Eternal. He created Life. He is LIFE.  God went to the Eternal, Purist, Righteous requirements so the debt for LIFE could forever be paid. Why? His love for us is Eternal, Pure and Righteous.

Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. Romans  10 NIV

I now have freedom to forever connect with Almighty God, if I so choose.

Rather an intense write-up considering the events from the past month or so. Doesn’t this belong to a blog around Good Friday? Why write about something so gruesome when we have enough gruesome events occurring almost weekly nationally and around the world.  .

Pain, forgiveness, reconciliation and the reconstruction of one’s life in the aftermath.  If what took place at the Cross is not at the center of dealing with these events, I am afraid they will not be dealt with at all.

The  battle for humanity and connection with God took place on the cross.   The Victory of the cross needs to be at the beginning and end of painful events, if healing will ever take place.

Jesus offers grace to the brokenhearted. It is at the sacrifice of the cross we can find the freedom to restore what was lost.

Roman soldiers were cruel and malicious. Looking at this beaten Jew with jeering contempt, they took the Son of God and stripped Him.  Treating the Prince of Heaven, as a common criminal, they nailed His already broken body to a cross in the heat of the day.

Jesus knows rejection. His life was sinless. He received unjust treatment. His response, “Forgive them Father, They don’t know what they are doing”

It was not only the soldiers needing this forgiveness. My pride held the hammer. My  sins hit the nails into His Pure hands and feet.   His sinless life took pain to walk with me in my pain.

God’s Grace, through the Holy Spirit does not mean a quick fix. It is sometimes hard and not always painless.   The sacrifice Jesus  suffered for us is the victory over Satan and his lies.  The Resurrection confirmed death does not have eternal power.   We can now reconnect to God who Loves us with an everlasting Love.

1for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10 NIV

This does not mean saved from pain or stupid actions.

To cope with any of the totally unjust stupid actions thrown by man or Satan seems utterly hopeless by human standards.

You are right. It is!  I believe true life and freedom can only  start by taking God’s hand, receiving Jesus Sacrifice and walking in His Pure Love.

Amos 9

13-15 “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree.

“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel:
