Be free to worship as you were created.

Be free to worship as you were created.

Be free to worship as you were created. You will find this phrase at the end of most of my posts. But what do these words mean? Why is this phrase important to delve into?

Actually, when I first started writing, I was not absolutely positive I had this freedom to create or worship. A constant, inner terror brought tears, and fear of something which demanded me to “stop“.

Oh, my friends, do you find yourself in the same battle? Do sublte words call your work useless while the enemy also attacks with his lies, stating God cannot use you.

Take hold. Be strong, because God has His hand on you.

Continue to go forward and worship as you were created.

To be free to worship as you were created means, you need to listen.

For we are the product of His hand, heaven’s poetry etched on lives, created in the Anointed, Jesus, to accomplish the good works God arranged long ago.

Ephesians. 2:10 Voice.

Although we read we are a product of His Hand, does this poetry happen out of thin air? That dream within us wants to bloom, but like seeds in the soil, tending and watering need to take place for the miracle to happen.

.

Be still and listen. Be present and receive.

.Are you willing to take on some possibly weird expectations for this flower to bloom? For example, what if you see the tender, almost lifeless body of a butterfly lying on a rock? You shiver under the cold, but this small, wet, colorful creature draws you in. Your body aches as you crouch down, but your soul is not giving you permission to leave. Your camera is capturing photos of damp rocks and the butterfly, when a slow movement occurs. Life. Your heart quickens. God brought you here to share this time with Him.

Be free to WORSHIP

After the initial season of writing and photography, I recognized God calling me to a broader and more intense path. There came a desire to challenge both myself and others to be KNOWING Freedom in Worship as well as live it as we create through the arts.

Oh my, is this a bit too ethereal? Then let me ask you a question? . What are your passions? A list of creative passions might include…

Writing

Pottery

Painting

Dancing

Singing

Organizing

Home decoration

Go beyond the obvious creative arts, because we are filled with many inner creative leadings. Yet, these words are just that- a list you created. You may excel in many of these items, but as you perform them, do you feel free to worship as you were created?

Freedom To Worship comes in many forms

This freedom to worship will ask you to be bold and take chances .and yet at the same time be still and listen. Remember the story of the butterfly? It was actually a real experience of a friend of mine. She pressed in close to the butterfly and became part of it’s story. Because the woman stopped to be present, she met with God’s Heart. She then, shared His Voice through her creativity and blessed others. Knowing freedom means seeking God intensely, in such a way where you experience transformation into your creativity and life.

But that’s one of the things I love about art. It doesn’t merely show us the kind of lives we can live. It is practice for the lives we are meant to live. The creative. is a direct parallel to the Christian process. Listen, Trust, Risk, Reveal. Whether an artist or a Christian, both need to be a little crazy. Often, that will result in some name calling. But show me one person who accomplished something important in the course of human history, and I’ll show you someone who – at some point – was labeled a fool.

“I LOVE YOU, Let me love you and I will show you how to love others through your creativity.”

You have been given a dream. Remember the wonder and joy of words spoken over you from times past. Yes, this is a battle, but you are not fighting it on your own. How can this community bring encouragement into your creative walk?
