Keep creating because you are safe.
During these times, have you questioned your calling? The new normal has been here long enough to become a regular normal. How does one continue in the path thought once so clear? God has not left you. When He is the main input for your output, even with major challenges, keep creating because you are safe.
In my recent post, remember how Peter from the New Testament was completely devastated after he denied Jesus. A solid path was now ripped in two. Could the pain have been tortuous because he remembered Jesus invitation:
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Now this invitation was only a shadowy memory. Peter’s present reality was one of inner chaos where he basically blanked off any relationship to his Lord and friend. How could he “Keep creating” and be God Handiwork? Everything inside did not feel safe.
Do you know you can keep creating because you are safe?
What is your present reality telling you? Have the past words of encouragement you received been lost on the roadside? Your journal holds the moments where God told you, “Keep Creating and Express My Heart”, but this pandemic has made you feel anything but safe. Do you find yourself walking in some mysterious shadow which keeps you from creating? Do you feel unsafe due to the new normal? As you exchange conversations through Zoom contact instead of tangible interactions, are you actually feeling more lonely? These real, honest circumstances beyond your control may be keeping you from creating. It is very important to allow yourself to look in the mirror and nod, “Yes”, without shame. God’s love understands, sees your needs and will encourage you.
“Keep creating, because you are safe.”
“Be Still, Listen and Receive. “
Start each day receiving it as God’s gift. The words of the world do not need to be the ones controlling your day. Open yourself to God’s Word for guidance. As you spend time in the bible, it can open doors for a deeper relationship with THE CREATOR. Not only to know more about God, but really get to KNOW God and His love for you.
Also, as you express gratitude, you will recognize how you are safe. God will show you in the hard times where He has been -and still is- with you.
Take these steps to live and breathe throughout the day
How can God use this time to make us safe?
Even though Peter’s life had been changed right down to even his name (he went from Simon to Peter, which means ROCK), he failed a crucial test. But, despite the fact Peter could not see it, Jesus knew the character transformation which had taken place in this man to not only know about God, but to truly know God. It was only after the Resurrection, when Jesus looked at Peter and all outside barriers slipped away, Peter could Keep Creating because he was safe.
Do you feel God wants to use this time period during the Pest for the transformation process in us as well? God loves us dearly and has a plan to share HIS heart. Are we willing to put aside our agendas ask, “What are His plans?” There needs to be more than handling the lack of “normal”. Are we willing to risk going deeper with His plans for us?
We can keep creating because we are safe in God.
I went through a program called Faithwalking, where I needed to create a statement I could refer to when anxiety began to draw me away from God’s security. It also has the arrow pointing in the correct direction as to who is in control.
Allow yourself to keep creating because you are safe.
Peter continued in his “creating” as a fisher of men because in the Love and Acceptance of Jesus, he was safe. Even in my down times, when I do not always respond with my head held high, I can keep creating because I am safe in the Love and acceptance of Jesus. I encourage you, also, to keep creating because you are safe in the Love and Acceptance of Jesus.
I offer you this simple quote to chew on. Do not take life to seriously. Just eat your pumpkin..
In the final analysis, that was what solved these big problems of life. You could think and think and get nowhere, but you still had to eat your pumpkin. That brought you down to earth. That gave you a reason for going on. Pumpkin.
